How editing works
Every part of the site listed above works the same way once you're logged into wp-admin. The menu down the left side of wp-admin is your table of contents — each item on this page tells you exactly which menu name to click.
To change something that already exists
- Click its name in the wp-admin menu — this opens a list of entries.
- Click the one you want to change.
- Edit the text in the fields, or click an image to replace it.
- Click the blue Update button, usually near the top right of the screen.
To add a brand new item
- Click its name in the wp-admin menu, then click Add New at the top of the page.
- Fill in the fields the same way as an existing entry.
- Click Publish. It won't appear on the live site until you do.
To remove something
- Open it, then click Move to Trash (top right, or in the list view when you hover a row).
A field you'll see often: "Icon"
Several sections (Social Initiatives, Achievements, Core Values, Impact Counters, and Emergency Directory entries) show a small icon next to the text. That icon comes from a free icon library called Font Awesome — the field just wants the icon's short code name, not an uploaded image.
- Go to fontawesome.com and search for what you want (e.g. "hospital").
- Click an icon you like. Its name appears on the page, e.g.
hospital. - In the Icon field, type
fa-followed by that name — e.g.fa-hospital.
Hero
The full-width introduction at the very top of the homepage — name, roles, tagline and the three counters (Years Experience, Families Served, Projects Delivered).
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Hero Tag | The small line above the name ("Welcome to the Official Website"). |
| Name | The large heading. |
| Roles | Type one role per line — each becomes a word separated by a dot, e.g. Entrepreneur • Real Estate Developer. |
| Tagline / Description | The two lines of supporting text. |
| Hero Image | The portrait photo on the right. |
| Stat 1–3 Number / Label | The three counters, e.g. Number 15, Label Years Experience. There are exactly three — the layout is built for three, not a flexible list. |
About
The story section, the "15+ Years of Excellence" photo badge, the row of value words (Integrity, Trust…), and the timeline of milestones.
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| About Body Text | The main paragraph. |
| About Image | The photo on the left. |
| Experience Badge Number / Label | The "15+ / Years of Excellence" badge on the photo. |
Core Values (separate menu item)
Each value word — Integrity, Trust, Innovation… — is its own entry with a Title and an Icon. Add, edit or remove them from the Core Values menu; there can be as many as you like.
About Timeline (separate menu item)
Each milestone (2008, 2012, 2016, 2020+) is its own entry under About Timeline, with a Title, a Year, and a Description. To change the order they appear in, open an entry and change the number in the Order box on the right side of the screen — lower numbers appear first.
Business Ventures
The two cards for Krishna Realtors and Shree Vallabh Construction. Add a third by clicking Add New under Ventures.
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Title | The venture's name. |
| Tagline | The short line under the name. |
| Description | The paragraph. |
| Features | One bullet point per line — these become the checklist under the description. |
| Logo | The small logo image. |
| Button Label / Link | The gold button text and where it goes (defaults to the Contact section). |
Achievements & Recognition
Each award or milestone on the gold timeline — Title, Icon (see above) and Description. Order them with the Order field on each entry.
Gallery
The masonry photo grid, filterable by category.
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Image | The photo. |
| Caption | Shown on hover and when the photo opens full-screen. |
| Tall layout | Switch on to make a photo span two rows in the grid, for a portrait-shaped image. |
| Gallery Categories | Tick a category (Awards / Events / Recognition) in the box on the right — this drives the filter buttons visitors see. Add a new category any time under Gallery → Gallery Categories. |
Testimonials
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Quote | The testimonial text. |
| Author Name / Role | e.g. "Rajesh Sharma" / "Business Partner, Kolkata". |
| Author Photo | Optional — if left empty, the visitor sees the author's initials instead. |
| Star Rating | A number from 1–5. |
Latest Updates (News)
News runs on WordPress's standard Posts screen — the same screen used for blog posts on any WordPress site.
- Go to Posts → Add New.
- Write the headline as the post Title.
- Set a Featured Image — this is the newspaper clipping or photo shown on the card, and doubles as the full-size image visitors see when they click "View Clipping".
- Write a short Excerpt (in the Excerpt box — turn it on via the Screen Options menu, top right, if you don't see it) — this is the summary text shown on the card.
- In the Categories box on the right, tick News. This is the one easy-to-miss step — without it, the update won't appear in the "Latest Updates" section.
- Click Publish.
Contact
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Business Address / Email / Phone | Shown in the Contact section and site footer. |
| WhatsApp Number | Digits only, with country code and no spaces — e.g. 919051118600. Powers both the Contact section link and the floating WhatsApp button. |
| Google Maps Embed URL | To change the map location: open Google Maps, find the place, Share → Embed a map → copy the address inside src="…" and paste it here. |
| Facebook / Instagram / LinkedIn / Twitter / YouTube URL | Leave any of these blank to hide that icon in the footer. |
Emergency Directory
The searchable directory of ambulances, hospitals, blood banks and other emergency contacts, reachable from the gold floating button on the homepage. It currently holds 128 entries.
| Field | Controls |
|---|---|
| Title | The contact's name, e.g. "SSKM Hospital". |
| Phone / Address | Shown on the card; phone number is also click-to-call on mobile. |
| Icon | See icon fields above. |
| Directory Categories | Tick one on the right — Ambulance, Hospital, Doctor, Medicine, Blood Bank, Water/Utility, or Emergency. This drives the filter tabs. |
| Directory Areas | Tick or add a locality, e.g. "Salt Lake". New areas you add automatically appear in the location dropdown on the live page — no other setup needed. |
Troubleshooting
| An icon isn't showing | Double-check the spelling and that it starts with fa- — see icon fields. |
| A change isn't showing on the live site | Confirm you clicked Update/Publish, and that the item's status is Published, not Draft. |
| A new directory area isn't in the dropdown | It only appears once at least one Published listing uses it. |
| Can't find "Site Content" changes | There's only ever one Site Content entry — clicking the menu always reopens the same one, it never creates a new one. |
Social Service
The four cards (Education Support, Healthcare, Community Welfare, Cultural & Religious) and the row of impact numbers underneath.
Social Initiatives (the four cards)
Impact Counters (the numbers row)
The intro paragraph above the cards is edited in Site Content → Social.
